The h2-netzwerk-ruhr Continues to Grow<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Schwelm Anlagentechnik became the\n60th member of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. in November. Chairman Volker\nLindner is pleased to welcome the company from his hometown of Schwelm, the\ndistrict capital of Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. <\/p>\n\n

The long history of the\nfamily-owned company exemplifies a chapter of the energy transition: from the\nfirst gasoline pumps to hydrogen refueling stations. Schwelm\nAnlagentechnik emerged from the traditional\nSchwelmer Eisenwerke. <\/p>\n\n

In the 1920s, Schwelmer Eisenwerk\nmanufactured the first gasoline pumps,\nincluding underground tanks and metering equipment for the emerging\nautomobile traffic. Even after World War II, Schwelmer Eisenwerk\nremained a leading manufacturer of fuel storage systems for many years. <\/p>\n\n

Schwelm Anlagentechnik continues\nthis tradition with the development and production of natural gas and biomethane refueling stations.\nAdditionally, the product range includes chemical plants as well as biogas upgrading and\ninjection systems. The logical current step: the\ndevelopment and production of hydrogen injection systems and hydrogen refueling stations.\nThe first large-scale refueling station was delivered to SSB Stuttgarter Stra\u00dfenbahnen AG,\nwhich currently operates Daimler hybrid fuel cell buses. In 2022,\nthe first hybrid H2 refueling station (trucks + cars) will follow in Emsland. <\/p>\n\n

“This traditional technology company enriches our network. We look forward to the exchange and projects that will emerge from dialogue with our members,” stated Volker Lindner. <\/p>\n\n

Even though we are active throughout Europe, hydrogen activities ‘on our doorstep’ and direct exchange with network partners here in the Ruhr region are truly something special.” With this year’s new members\u2014the City of Hattingen, Stadtwerke Witten GmbH, and Schwelm Anlagentechnik GmbH\u2014h2-netzwerk-ruhr has now established a presence in Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis on the southern edge of the Ruhr metropolitan area. <\/p>\n\n
