{"id":3749,"date":"2023-04-24T15:31:42","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T13:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/h2-netzwerk-ruhr.de\/dgb-bildungswerk-nrw-visits-h2herten-application-center\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T07:32:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T05:32:10","slug":"dgb-bildungswerk-nrw-visits-h2herten-application-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/h2-netzwerk-ruhr.de\/en\/dgb-bildungswerk-nrw-visits-h2herten-application-center\/","title":{"rendered":"DGB-Bildungswerk NRW Visits h2Herten Application Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of an educational leave titled <strong>&#8220;Just quickly saving the world&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong>, a group of 24 from <strong>DGB Bildungswerk NRW<\/strong> visited the h2Herten Application Center.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter Brautmeier, Public Relations Officer of h2-netzwerk-ruhr, and Dr. Babette Nieder, Emscher-Lippe H2 Coordinator, welcomed the participants and brought them up to speed on the topic of <strong>&#8220;The Role of Hydrogen in the Energy Transition.&#8221;<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter Brautmeier explained the opportunities of hydrogen technology in various application fields, with a focus on mobility. Dr. Nieder presented the h2-roadmap for the Emscher-Lippe region and showed which projects have already been implemented \u2013 e.g., the use of fuel cell waste collectors \u2013 or are well on their way, such as the &#8220;get h2&#8221; hydrogen pipeline from Lingen to Gelsenkirchen.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, the group toured the Application Center with its wind power electrolysis and the h2 filling station.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/h2-netzwerk-ruhr.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IMG_20230421_095740-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Babette Nieder explains the h2-roadmap for the Emscher-Lippe region.
