For many years, h2-netzwerk-ruhr has been advised by an Advisory Board of recognised experts in hydrogen technology and the hydrogen economy. The long-standing Chair, Dr Bernd Emonts from Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich, stepped down from this role upon entering retirement. On September 23, 2024, the Advisory Board unanimously elected Dr Arnt Baer<\/strong> of Gelsenwasser AG as his successor. <\/p>\n\n

The Deputy Chair, Dieter Jorra, formerly a BP manager, also stepped down from his position for personal reasons. The h2-netzwerk-ruhr Advisory Board elected Fraunhofer UMSICHT scientist Dr Esther Stahl<\/strong> to this role. <\/p>\n\n

Both elections were unanimous. Dr Stahl had previously declared her willingness to stand for election in writing, as she was unable to attend the meeting due to illness. <\/p>\n\n

With the new Executive Board duo, the Advisory Board is continuing a proven appointment strategy: one representative from academia and one from industry jointly lead the advisory body. This ensures that perspectives from both areas<\/strong> are incorporated into the work of the body. <\/p>\n\n
