Frank Obenaus joins the Network Board

Dr. Frank Obenaus – Representative of Emschergenossenschaft – was appointed by the Board of h2-netzwerk-ruhr on an interim basis as Deputy Chair. The interim term of office began on December 1, 2022 and ends with the General Assembly in spring 2023, at which a new Board is to be elected.

This makes Dr. Obenaus the successor to Dr. Emanuel Grün, who has significantly shaped the association as Deputy Chair since the founding of h2-netzwerk-ruhr in 2008. The change on the Board of h2-netzwerk-ruhr is due to the personnel change at Emschergenossenschaft/Lippeverband. There, Dr. Grün has retired from his previous position as Technical Board Member. Dr. Obenaus has also been his successor in this important role since December 1, 2022.

In the event of the premature departure of a Board member, interim replacement by the Board is provided for in the association’s statutes in order to keep the association able to act.

Network Chair Volker Lindner stated: “We are looking forward to working with Dr. Obenaus in the future. He is joining us at a time that is certainly challenging due to the association’s enormous growth.”
