European Affairs Minister visits Herten

Dr. Angelica Schwall-Düren learned about wind power electrolysis

Distinguished visit to the h2herten Application Center: In addition to Dr. Angelica Schwall-Düren, NRW Minister for Federal Affairs, Europe and Media, Theo Bovens, King’s Commissioner from the Dutch province of Limburg, also visited the facility.

Herten’s Mayor Dr. Uli Paetzel welcomed the delegation to the Application Center. The head of the city reported on the opportunities and challenges presented by the repurposing of former colliery sites, such as Ewald. Afterwards, Dr. Michael Weber, h2-netzwerk-ruhr e. V., explained the functionality of wind power electrolysis to the guests.
