h2-netzwerk-ruhr welcomes its 65th member
Stadtwerke Bochum joins h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V.
The growth of the oldest hydrogen network in the Ruhr region continues unabated: With Stadtwerke Bochum Holding GmbH, association chairman Volker Lindner has just welcomed the 65th member to h2-netzwerk-ruhr.
With 167 years of history, Bochumer Stadtwerke is one of the oldest municipal utilities in Westphalia. They not only supply the city with electricity, gas, district heating, and water, but also drive the expansion of the high-speed data network and contribute to the success of the energy transition through the consistent expansion of renewable energies.
And since the planned energy transition is inconceivable without hydrogen, the Bochum utility is also active in this field of technology. Membership in h2-netzwerk-ruhr was a logical step, as it provides access not only to other Ruhr municipal utilities but also to the concentrated expertise of the Ruhr hydrogen economy, including research institutes, plant manufacturers, transmission system operators, and economic developers.
Stadtwerke Bochum would like to take the opportunity available to all new members at the next online members’ evening – and present their hydrogen and renewable energy activities to the other network members on March 9, 2022.
