HyMR Joint Stand Demonstrates the Ruhr Metropolis’s Significant Lead

Under a shared roof, the Hydrogen Metropole Ruhr (HyMR) Initiative of the RVR brought together all hydrogen networks of the Ruhr region at the E-World of Energy and Water from February 20-22, 2024, in Essen.

Jörn Kleinelümern of HyMR says: “We were ourselves surprised by the great interest from hydrogen players in the Ruhr region. We had not expected a total of sixteen participants, but we are all the more pleased.” The large number of networks represents the diverse hydrogen activities of business and science in the Ruhr region and thus underscores the result of an RVR study, which sees the Ruhr Metropolis in first place in a ranking of German hydrogen regions.

Naturally, the h2-netzwerk-ruhr, as the oldest and largest hydrogen network in the Ruhr region, was also present on all three days. Dr. Désirée Schulte, the network’s managing director, and Peter Brautmeier, as public relations officer, were able to conduct numerous discussions, present the network’s work, and spark interest in membership among some visitors. Dr. Schulte draws a positive conclusion: “As usual, you collect a lot of business cards, but I have the impression that we were able to establish some promising cooperations.”
