Hydrogen a key topic in Hannover

Network Chairman Volker Lindner visited Hannover Messe

The topic of hydrogen was represented at this year’s Hannover Messe like never before. The entire Hall 13 was occupied by relevant exhibitors, including members of h2-netzwerk-ruhr such as EE Energy Engineers, HoKon GmbH, Cummins-Hydrogenics with the new accelera label, and ZBT.

For the Chairman of h2-netzwerk-ruhr, interesting contacts were made, for example, with Andreas Rimkus, the Hydrogen Commissioner of the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag, and NRW Minister of Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur. The discussion with Karl Lötsch, Managing Director of the Chemnitz-based Saxon network HZwo e.V., led to an agreement to continue the exchange. HZwo e.V. is funded by the state of Saxony and has had over a hundred members from industry and research since March 2023.

China on the H2 Fast Track

Another insight from the perhaps undeservedly sparsely visited stands of Chinese manufacturers: China wants to be on the fast track. An example is the presentation of the complete design of an industrial electrolysis production facility (see figure).
