Hydrogen exchange at Fraunhofer UMSICHT
First in-person members’ evening since 2019
The Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT in Oberhausen hosted a members’ evening of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. Since the start of the pandemic, this was the first members’ evening to take place in person again. Over the past two years, there were only virtual members’ evenings, which were nevertheless very well received by the network members.
After welcoming the approximately forty participants, Network Chair Volker Lindner, Esther Stahl and Kai junge Puring provided insights into UMSICHT’s hydrogen activities. Among other things, they presented the “PtX Platform” project, within the framework of which an open test platform for Power-to-X technologies is being developed. Among other things, it will be used to test how green electricity can be converted into chemical feedstocks. Details are available at https://s.fhg.de/9La. Following the presentations, participants had the opportunity, during a guided tour, to gain a concrete impression of the work of the scientists. This was followed by intensive discussions during networking.
The next members’ evening will again take place in digital format and is intended primarily to give new members the opportunity to introduce themselves and their activities.
