“Hydrogen Practical Day” at the h2herten Application Center
Students take center stage
On the morning of Thursday, September 28, 2023, the second Hydrogen Practical Day will take place at the h2herten Application Center at Ewald. The organizers are once again h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V., the City of Herten, and WiN Emscher-Lippe GmbH.
The focus is on students in grades 8-12 and vocational schools, to whom the importance of hydrogen technology in the fight against climate change and the pioneering role of our region will be conveyed in a clear and entertaining way.
The tour of the hydrogen-based energy system and the hydrogen refueling station will be supplemented by other attractive offers: these range from building a fuel cell and a go-kart track, where a fuel cell go-kart competes against an ADAC go-kart with an internal combustion engine, to a performance by the “Physikanten”.
NRW Minister of Education Dorothee Feller has announced her visit. In doing so, she underlines the importance of STEM subjects and the organizers’ approach to advancing the hydrogen economy through broad consensus. After all, today’s 14-year-olds will be the ones building, maintaining, and developing a world without fossil fuels in 2040.
If you would like to contribute to the success of this event with your company or research institution and be represented with an exhibit or an offer, we look forward to hearing from you (wasserstoffkoordination@emscher-lippe.de or https://h2-netzwerk-ruhr.de/).
