New Year’s Reception 2025 at the H2Herten Application Center

Chairman Dr. Thomas Kattenstein and Managing Director Dr. Désirée Schulte were pleased to welcome over 65 participants to the New Year’s Reception of h2-netzwerk-ruhr on February 4, 2025. This was a new record for the event, which was held for the third time.

Traditionally, the network uses the New Year’s Reception to give new members from the previous year the opportunity to introduce themselves to other network partners. This is very valuable for both sides, as it often leads to new collaborations.

After the engaging introduction of the new members, there was ample opportunity for informal exchange over light refreshments, which is always very important to the network members.

Ten visitors took advantage of the opportunity to tour the technological infrastructure of the Application Center—an energy complementary system based on wind power with the components electrolyzer, compressor, pressure tank, fuel cell, and lithium-ion battery.

In addition to Dr. Kattenstein, the network board was almost fully represented with Dr. Frank Obenaus (EGLV), Dr. Babette Nieder (WiN Emscher-Lippe), Dr. Manfred Gehrke (City of Marl), Dr. Joachim Gores (Kümmerlein), Janine Feldmann (City of Herten), Janina Senner (GWI), and Friederike Konold (Gelsenwasser).
