One leaves – two arrive

Personnel support for h2-netzwerk-ruhr has been finalized

The succession of Dr. Michael Weber, who left EnergieAgentur.NRW on February 28, has already been finalized. Since Monday, March 1, h2-netzwerk-ruhr has been supported by two employees from Energy Engineers (EE) with the same number of hours as before.

Dr. Frank Koch

One of them is Dr. Frank Koch, a PhD chemical engineer who has already worked for 21 years in the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen, Electromobility NRW network. For five years, he has also headed the German Fuel Cell Bus Cluster.

The focus of his work at EE is advising municipalities, companies, and project consortia on the introduction of hydrogen-based mobility solutions as well as the conversion of fleets. Dr. Koch possesses broad technical expertise in hydrogen-based drive systems and all related issues, such as hydrogen refueling, logistics, and production options. Furthermore, Dr. Koch is excellently networked within the hydrogen scene throughout NRW and Germany.

Tayhan Özer

In addition, Tayhan Özer will support the h2-netzwerk team. Özer is an engineer for energy and water management and studied at the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences in Mülheim an der Ruhr. He has been working for EE for two years. Previously, he was employed at E.ON and Uniper. To date, Tayhan Özer has worked at EE in the field of bioeconomy and in the “Fuels and Drives of the Future” network. However, he already has project experience in the field of hydrogen, specifically through his collaboration on the detailed hydrogen concept for the district of Osterholz as part of a HyExperts project managed by EE. Network Chairman Volker Lindner welcomed the new employees during their first participation in the virtual jour fixe on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. He was pleased that Dr. Weber’s succession is now secured until August 31, 2021, and that, as he literally said, “with proven experts who, through their excellent networking and high level of competence, can further advance h2-netzwerk-ruhr.”
