Positive results for the first half of the year
The chairman of h2-netzwerk-ruhr, Volker Lindner, reports positive results for the first half of 2019. He notes that h2-netzwerk-ruhr has developed a wide range of activities aimed at promoting acceptance of hydrogen and fuel cell technology, particularly in the political sphere, and strengthening its roots in the Ruhr region.
In the semi-annual report, Volker Lindner cites h2-netzwerk-ruhr’s participation in the state government’s “Ruhr Conference” as one of the most important activities, alongside presentations at key institutions such as the In4Climate.NRW General Assembly, the Business Metropole Ruhr, and WIN Emscher-Lippe. One of the bodies shaping structural change in the Emscher-Lippe region is the “Umbau 21” Advisory Board, which meets under the chairmanship of the NRW Minister of Economic Affairs, Prof. Andreas Pinkwart. Here, too, the network was able to contribute with an extensive presentation and advocate for hydrogen as a vital energy source for the future. The report also lists the reception of delegations, the opening of the H2 filling station in Herten, and the successful recruitment of new members as further significant events.
Member communication to be the focus of the second half of the year
For the second half of 2019, Volker Lindner has declared communication with members to be a priority for the work of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. “We are doing an incredible amount,” says Lindner, “but our members need to know about it.” In this context, the specific expectations of members regarding the network’s work will also be surveyed.
