Public relations and educational work

In addition to specific business development, public relations and educational work are a key concern of h2-netzwerk-ruhr. The network supports its members with projects and events, most recently the InnovationsDialog in February 2012, which aims to promote exchange between academia and companies. In addition, it also implements its own network projects, most recently the H2-Race. In this project, seven apprentice teams from the region developed hydrogen-powered racing karts, which they competed against each other with in July 2011.

In addition to these targeted demonstrations of the performance of fuel cell and hydrogen applications, h2-netzwerk-ruhr is also working to integrate the topic into school education. This is currently being implemented primarily through the existing partnership with the ZdI Center MINT-Marl, in which targeted programmes for school classes were developed. These programmes are already in high demand. The network is currently supporting a student competition run by EnergieAgentur.NRW, in which participants develop a municipal energy concept using hydrogen and fuel cell technology.
