The h2-netzwerk-ruhr Board of Directors is growing
Friederike Konold and Janina Senner are new assessors
The Board of Directors of h2-netzwerk-ruhr has welcomed two new members since the last general assembly in June 2021. One of the two new board members is engineer Janina Senner from the Gas-Wärme-Institut (GWI) in Essen. She has been active there since 2007 and has headed the Power-to-X team in the Fuel and Appliance Technology department since 2012.

Janina Senner is delighted to have been invited to work on the board of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. She says: “Hydrogen offers high potential for a climate-friendly energy supply and is versatile in its application. Professionally, I am already privileged to provide scientific support for several exciting research projects, which is why I am now looking forward to actively supporting h2-netzwerk-ruhr with my experience and my person in the future and to further advancing the topic of hydrogen, especially in my home region, the Ruhr area.”
Using hydrogen in the heating market as well
With Friederike Konold, a graduate economist at Gelsenwasser AG, the h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. has gained another high-profile expert for its board work . Ms. Konold has been with Gelsenwasser since 2013. Since 2020, she has been the project manager for the hydrogen sector as a staff unit of the technical board . Previously, she spent four years at Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg (NBB), most recently as project manager for concessions.

Gelsenwasser AG has been a member of h2-netzwerk-ruhr for years. The fact that it attaches great importance to the topic of hydrogen can be seen from the fact that it has set up its own project for this with Friederike Konold . Regarding her future work on the board, Friederike Konold says: “I am very much looking forward to working together in the h2-netzwerk-ruhr and the joint further development of the network. In this context, I also consider it important to keep an eye on transport via the distribution networks and the applicability of hydrogen in the heating market.”
