Member of State Parliament Michael Hübner visits H2Herten User Center

During a visit to the H2Herten User Center, Member of State Parliament Michael Hübner was impressed by the activities of the city of Herten and the commitment of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. He came to the User Center at the invitation of the network chairman Volker Lindner, where he toured the wind power electrolysis plant, among other facilities.

The topic of hydrogen is not new to Mr. Hübner. His constituency is home to the company Hydrogenics, which plays a leading role in the construction of electrolyzers and fuel cells for mobile applications. For example, the Alstom trains running between Buxtehude and Cuxhaven are powered by electricity generated from Hydrogenics fuel cells.
Michael Hübner sees great opportunities for the creation of new jobs in the Emscher-Lippe region through hydrogen technology and its growing role in the energy transition.
