Board of h2-netzwerk-ruhr Bids Farewell to Dr. Michael Weber
For more than eight years, Dr. Michael Weber, an employee of Energie Agentur NRW, was seconded to h2-netzwerk-ruhr for ten hours a week. During this time, he supported the voluntarily working board with his professional expertise.
During this period, Dr. Weber planned several high-profile advisory board meetings and symposia, contacted network members, and was particularly successful in attracting and recruiting new members. Starting with seven founding members, h2-netzwerk-ruhr has grown continuously and now, twelve years after its establishment, boasts a membership of 53 institutions, companies, municipalities, and individual members.
Dr. Weber will leave Energie Agentur – and thus also h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V. – on February 28, 2021, to take up a position in the private sector – in the hydrogen economy, of course. During its meeting on February 22, the board expressed its sincere gratitude to Dr. Weber for his dedication. Volker Lindner stated verbatim: “Without your excellent work, the network would not be in such a strong position today.” As a farewell, he presented him with a gift basket and a family day pass for the ZOOM Erlebniswelt in Gelsenkirchen, “so that you remain connected to the Ruhr region.”
