Executive Board of h2-netzwerk-ruhr convenes at Emschergenossenschaft
At the invitation of Deputy Chairman Dr. Frank Obenaus, the network’s Executive Board met at the premises of Emschergenossenschaft/Lippeverband in Essen.
In addition to receiving the activity report and the annual accounts, the main focus was on the current work program for the current year. Two key areas stood out: the participation of h2-netzwerk-ruhr in the “Hydrogen Valley Rhein Ruhr” funding program and the presentation of a position paper for political lobbying.
For the “Hydrogen Valley Rhein Ruhr” project, there is a realistic opportunity for h2-netzwerk-ruhr to acquire funding for personnel costs. The network’s participation will focus on hydrogen mobility, with a particular emphasis on buses.
The network’s general meeting on May 22 at Wissenschaftspark Gelsenkirchen is to vote on the position paper on lobbying, which contains concrete demands to federal politicians for improving the framework conditions for the hydrogen economy. The other networks in the Rhine-Ruhr area will be invited to join these demands, thereby lending more weight to the position paper.
