Members’ Evening on April 1, 2025 at ZBT

The CEO of the Center for Fuel Cell Technology ZBT in Duisburg, Dr. Peter Beckhaus, provided an overview of the current state of the German hydrogen economy at the latest members’ evening of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V., before presenting the activities of ZBT together with department head Dr. Christian Spitta.

Prior to this, the network chairman Dr. Thomas Kattenstein welcomed the more than thirty participants and expressed his hope that the results of the coalition negotiations for the formation of a new federal government could also provide new momentum for the hydrogen sector.

Dr. Désirée Schulte, Managing Director of h2-netzwerk-ruhr, presented the organization’s annual plan, drawing particular attention to the general assembly at Wissenschaftspark Gelsenkirchen on May 22, 2025, the h2 summer event on August 28, 2025 at Anwenderzentrum Herten, and the members’ evening at KSW in Essen on September 11, 2025.

In two groups, the visitors then toured the laboratories and the Hydrogen Test Field in the outdoor area of ZBT. This clearly demonstrated the high technical competence of ZBT in the further development of electrolyzer and fuel cell technology.

An important part of the members’ evenings is always networking, which the participants made extensive use of after the tours over a delicious buffet.
