Well-Attended Member Evening at h2-netzwerk-ruhr

New Members Introduce Themselves in Online Format

With 52 participants, h2-netzwerk-ruhr held its best-attended member evening to date on Thursday, March 9, 2022. As a reminder: The network’s members meet two to three times a year for personal exchange. In pandemic times, this has naturally become more difficult. Chairman Volker Lindner was all the more pleased that the online format was very well received and that over fifty participants took part in the nearly two-hour event.

Volker Lindner, Chairman of h2-netzwerk-ruhr e.V., opened the member evening as usual.

The focus of the meeting this time was on the new members. As reported, the network has grown significantly in recent months, and the influx of new members continues. Fourteen companies took the opportunity to introduce themselves and their activities or plans in the hydrogen sector. The range was broad: municipal utilities were represented as well as plant manufacturers, engineering firms as well as a major law firm.

In the discussion that followed the introductions, questions were raised, for example, about the future of hydrogen mobility and about the process of H2 storage in gas hydrates, which Prof. Dr. Heyko Jürgen Schulz from Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences had presented.

Network members have the option to request the complete presentation (127 slides) from the network manager Dr. Désirée Schulte (d.schulte@h2-netzwerk-ruhr.de).
