Cummins opens new production line in Herten

Production of fuel cells for commercial vehicles is ready to start

On June 19, Accelera by Cummins opened the new production line for PEM stacks and fuel cell modules at the fuel cell systems production center in Herten.

The new production line will manufacture fuel cells for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and further establish the site as a center for clean technologies in Germany. Since the site opened in November 2021, Accelera by Cummins has created more than 100 new jobs in the clean technology sector within the local economy.
